Just as individual threads intertwine to create a textile, our thoughts are woven together to construct our inner worlds. A single thought rarely exists in isolation.
In this world of constant noise we are left feeling overstimulated. We overconsume the constant chatter fed to us. In these moments, my soul craves the simplicity of a time as innocent as a toddler's mind. My brain goes back to my childhood when problems were solved by mere play and community. The more we are progressing, in its actuality, we are regressing tenfolds mentally, and the feeling of curiosity and wonder is as rare as blue moon.
Through my practice, I aim to build a space where wonder and play not only exist but demands attention.
I choose to adopt a voice through character development which are more like celestial beings, which are amorphous so that they can take any shape of the imagination of the viewer, drawing them in. My work narrates and moves down this journey of self-discovery. It's focused on bringing light to those moments of impact that one endures or goes through silently. And only with radical acceptance, we can learn to break free.
Cloth absorbs. Fibers hold tension. Threads bind together to create strength through interdependence. In moments of emotional spiraling or panic, these qualities become more than material properties. They become metaphors for the human mind.
The concept of one thought being one tube, and then the tubes reproducing itself to make a being is exactly how I felt in moments of absolute despair and restlessness. And by giving those moments a form, I try to take back the ownership of those moments and empower and celebrate my sense of control.

Ultimately, my work is an affirmation that even in our most vulnerable moments, we remain whole. The knots within us are not signs of brokenness but evidence of complexity, resilience, and transformation. By embracing them with tenderness and play, we can move from feeling overpowered by our emotions to feeling connected, empowered, and deeply alive.
